How to beat Games - Final Fantasy and Others
These are some great tips and tutorials on how to beat some of the most popular Final Fantasy and other games.

Chocobo Hot and Cold Mini-Game in Final Fantasy IX

This is one of the mini-games that you’ll complete alongside your main quest. It’s quite a long effort, so be prepared to put in quite a bit of time.

To begin the Chocobo Hot and Cold mini-game, enter the Chocobo Forest. It’s just southeast of the South Gate. That is on the Mist Continent. When you first enter the area, you will see a moogle and a chocobo running around. Once their problems are all sorted out, the moogle will tell you that you can use Gysahl Greens to summon a chocobo and ride it around. You do this on the world map when you find some chocobo tracks first.

He’ll then offer for you to play the chocobo hot and cold game. You will dig in this area until you find numerous items. Your chocobo’s beak will gain some experience and level up, which makes it a lot easier for you to dig in different areas. After you find a “chocograph,” you will be directed to a new dig area. It is called the Chocobo Lagoon and is kind of difficult to find.

It is near the Salvage Archipelago and requires the use of your airship, and a blue chocobo. Land on the island with this name and use the chocobo tracks to summon one. Take it through the shallow (light blue) waters until you come across the area that looks like an entrance into the rocks. That’s the lagoon. If you need additional help, it’s underneath Palmell Island.

There are a few differences here, but you’re now searching for chocographs so you can then go search for treasure.

Once you complete this area, you’ll be on the lookout for the Chocobo Air Garden. You can find it in many different areas. If you’ve been paying attention to the inscriptions on the rocks you find, you’ll get different clues as to where it is. But, to make it easy, just look for a large circular shadow. Stand in the area and use a dead pepper. This will take you up where you need to go. A few more rule changes, and the environment’s different, but it’s basically the same game as the last area. Now, do you think you can find the Chocobo Paradise?

….Fine. It’s in an unmapped area in Gaia. It’s in the northwest corner of the map. Use a gold chocobo to land on the island with the forest and rock. If you use a dead pepper near the weird looking rocks, your choco will break them and you now have a door. Inside, you’ll see this big, chubby chocobo. If you found all 24 treasures, you can let your choco stay here in his paradise forever! Or, you can take him back outside and find the rest of the treasures.
