Attaining New Overdrives for Each Character in Final Fantasy X
For Auron, you need to find the Jecht Spheres that are scattered about the different lands. These are the spheres that show different parts of the journey that Auron, Braska, and Jecht underwent years before.
Kimari is different. In order to obtain new overdrive abilities for this wacky Ronso, you simply use his Lancet ability to get certain attacks from different enemies. These will then become Kimari’s overdrive abilities for use in later battles.
Lulu’s overdrives are dependent on magic, as she is a black mage. When you are casting an overdrive spell, you need to rotate the right analog stick rapidly and in full circles in order to strengthen her casting abilities. When she’s leveled up more throughout the game, this will also raise her chances of casting multiple spells.
Rikku’s overdrives are a lot of fun sometimes. She takes a couple of items from your inventory and combines them to make something to be used during the battle. She can make really strong curatives, really strong explosives/attacks, or status-ailing items. Just keep in mind what you want the end product to do, as combining curative items will make a stronger curative, etc.
Tidus’ are easy. All you have to do is continue using them throughout battles and you’ll finally gain a new one soon.
For Wakka, you need to play Blitzball in the tournaments. You can win the new slots if you do well enough in the overall rankings. I had a lot of fun playing Blitzball, so it was easy for me to max out his overdrives, but some people can’t stand the game, so it’s hard to say what kind of difficulty you’ll encounter while going for this.
