Getting Vincent in Your Party in Final Fantasy VII
First, you need to complete the events in Nibelheim and then come back to it. You’ll find the corridor in the basement with the library at the end. Well, there is a door on the side of the corridor and it houses some coffins. In one of them is Vincent. He will be upset about something. Just try to talk to him and let him join your party. You don’t really need to know the specific commands or responses like you do when you’re getting Yuffie, but just use common sense. You want him in your party, be sympathetic to his needs and talk to him about his problems.
Apparently, he was a member of The Turks. He hates Hojo, obviously, because Hojo’s a punk. If you’ve played Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, you know all about Vincent. Well, if you haven’t, let me tell you. He is now against The Turks because he had experiments done on him and his girlfriend, Lucrecia, was the incubator/surrogate mother for the Jenova cells that created Sephiroth. In the PS2’s Dirge of Cerberus, it goes into more detail about how he started as her bodyguard and then they fell in love and all this stuff, but what you learn in FFVII is what I’ve mentioned above.
Well, he’ll tell you to leave him alone, so, after there is no way to change his mind, go check out the library. You might find something cool. There is materia and different research pages in there. Plus, you can check out the incubator chambers for some info about the past. Then, go back and he should decide to come with you. Vincent is the most unique character in the game. While it could be decided that he is Barrett with Cloud’s personality, he still seems different. His limit breaks cause him to turn into some crazy monsters, but his final limit break is the best (obviously.)
Good luck!
