Getting the Zodiac Spear in Final Fantasy XII

In order to obtain the Zodiac Spear, one of the best spears (and weapons) in the game, you must open all of the chests you find throughout the specific lands EXCEPT THE FOLLOWING:

-The Treasure Chest just outside of Old Dalan’s Place in Lowtown

-ANY of the chests in the confiscatory (this is the area where you got your weapons and armor back after being captured)

-The sixteen chests on the lone island in the Phon Coast. You CAN open some of them, but since it is the fourth chest you must not open, it is best to leave them all shut. The term “fourth” is kind of subjective as it could be the fourth from the left top, left bottom, right top, right bottom, top to bottom, bottom to top, any of the rows could contain the chest from either side, so it’s best to just leave them all alone. They only contain gil in the first place.

Then, go search around in the Necrohol of Nabudis in order to find the spear. It adds 150 to your attack power and 8 to your evasion.
